Entry fee: R250.00 (1 Section), R350.00 (2 Sections) per player
Entries close: Wednesday, 16 August at 23h45
The Mixed Doubles Section will take place on Saturday, 19 August 2023 and Ladies/Men’s Sections will take place on Sunday, 20 August 2023. Playing times: 09h00 to 15h00.
All players must be registered with Squash SA and have paid their 2023 Squash SA levy.
Only entries via SportyHQ will be accepted. Entries will only be accepted once proof of payment is received. You should receive a confirmation email once you have entered on SportyHQ. If you do not please check the SportyHQ website for your entry as errors cannot be rectified after the closing date.
CONDITIONS OF ENTRY: PROTECTIVE EYEWEAR IS COMPULSORY!
1. All players must be 35 years of age and over.
2. The tournament organisers reserve the right to grade / merge groups, if it will result in stronger squash matches. Minimum of 4 matches will be played per day (depending on amount of entries received).
3. Draws and times will be available on SportyHQ by Thursday, 17 August 2023 at 19h00.
4. Players must be available to play throughout the day. Match times will not be changed to accommodate other activities.
5. Players must be at the venue at least 10 minutes before the scheduled playing time and be warmed-up and ready to play when courts are free.
6. Players must abide by the tournament rules: The number of games to be played per match will be decided upon depending on the number of entries received.
7. In all circumstances the Tournament Referee’s decision is final.
8. Players must abide by Squash SA rules.
9. Each pairing must referee the match following their game.
10. The rankings will be done in co-operation with the Joburg Masters Squash selectors and are at the discretion of the Committee according to the strengths of the players and results from previous IPT doubles tournaments.
11. A match could be forfeited if any one of a pairing is more than 20 minutes late for the start of any match.
12. The Dunlop double yello dot ball will be used.
13. Always a let unless you hit your opponent with a ball going directly to front wall then stroke against you as this is dangerous play.
14. Substitutes will be permitted in case of injury but the result will not count for placing in the tournament.
15. Players have to be at prize giving to receive prize.
16. Players agree that Joburg Masters Squash, Joburg Squash and/or Squash SA may use photos/images/videos of the players for purposes such as celebrating achievement and publicising events and these may be posted to any JMS social media platform or the Joburg Squash website.
